Group Trips

Community Based Instruction Trips (CBI Trips) are trips made by special education programs, day programs or group homes. CBI trips are an important part of programs for children and adults with certain disabilities. CBI programs teach individuals about places in the community. Individuals also learn about the functions of these places and how to access these places in their daily lives. I personalize each lesson based on the needs of the individuals in the group and create lessons that accommodate a variety of abilities. I also have some adaptive equipment like scissors, chunky supplies and grips. We also have fidgets, chair bands, a sensory walk and a quiet area.

Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops can come to the studio for group trips. Trips are made by appointment. I will create a personalized program based on the age of the troop and the project(s) selected by the leader. I can help troops earn art badges! I just need the troop leader to supply me with the necessary badge information for me to follow and create a plan. I have worked with troops on painting and drawing badges. Some badges may require more than one visit depending on the age range of the scout troops and badge requirements. Some badge requirements cannot be fulfilled in one session. Please contact me for information and we can discuss how to accomadate the badge requirements. 

I will also offer classes for other groups of adults or children such as home school groups, church groups & other community groups. Please contact me for more information.
